Design-Spy is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:

• Payment Information: If you upgrade to Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by ExtensionPay (Stripe). We receive only confirmation of your subscription status - never your payment details.
• Local Preferences: Your settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API.

2. Information We Don't Collect

We explicitly do NOT collect:

• Browsing history or websites you visit
• CSS, styles, or design data from inspected websites
• Personal information (name, email, address)
• Analytics or usage tracking data
• Cookies for advertising purposes

3. How the Extension Works

Design-Spy operates entirely on your local machine:

• CSS inspection happens in real-time within your browser
• Color picker captures a screenshot of the visible tab for pixel-level color selection (stored temporarily in memory, never uploaded)
• Tailwind/React exports are generated locally
• Style guide and asset data never leaves your device
• No data is sent to external servers (except payment verification)

4. Third-Party Services

We use one third-party service:

• ExtensionPay: For processing Pro subscriptions. Their privacy policy is available at extensionpay.com/privacy

5. Data Security

Since we don't collect or store your data on external servers, there's minimal security risk. Your local browser data is protected by Chrome's built-in security measures.

6. Children's Privacy

Design-Spy is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated through the extension or our website.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Uninstall the extension at any time
• Clear local storage data through Chrome settings
• Request information about your Pro subscription status
